Where did the time go?

April 5, 2008

No exactly a writers strike, but more a case of March madness. One wedding, four snowstorms, five time zones, 11,000 + miles and more hours at work than I would like to count later and over a month has gone since my last post.

So what’s next? Well, have a few little gems up my sleeve that have caught my eye over the last month, so will be catching up on them over the next week or so and also getting back into the swing of things with my usual mix of random musings.

To kick things off, you really need to take the time to listen to Barak Obama’s speech (A More Perfect Union) on US race relations if you missed it. Not often you can say it, but in my eyes, this really is history in the making.

All stemmed from a few home truths on social justice from Obama’s former pastor Jeremiah Wright that were a little close to the bone. That said, you have to take your hat off to Obama for a powerful and moving address on a subject that is all to often avoided. If he doesn’t get into power, it’s not just a shame; it will be a complete joke.
