May 11, 2008With a new record for goals scored by a foreign player in a debut Premier League campaign, thirty-three goals in all competitions and twenty-four in the league, something tells me Liverpool made a wise decision to splash the cash on the boy from Spain.
So as the season came to a close today with yet another Torres gem, here’s a tribute to the Liverpool No.9
What can you say about the lad Fernando? His pace and skill scare the living daylights out of opponents. I thought that he’d be good when Liverpool bought him, but i never expected him to score so many goals.
Let’s see how Torres gets on next season, it will perhaps be more difficult because people know a bit more of what to expect from him. I hope he does well for Spain in the summer since as yet he has not been able to make a big impression with his national team.
